Vote Shayne Gibson as your next Caddo Parish Sheriff on October 14.
For more than 23 years, I have worked for Greenwood Police Department. I have been the chief since October 2014. The residents and business owners of our community feel safe and protected. Proactive law enforcement is one of the reasons. The Greenwood officers are frequently seen patrolling the neighborhoods, conducting business checks, and interacting with residents. Staying visible and approachable deters criminal activity.
In law enforcement, professionalism is just as important as being proactive. A professional officer/deputy accepts responsibility and accountability and acts with integrity while providing excellent service to the public. They should be someone you trust, and someone you will not hesitate to call when needed.
I am a cop, a law enforcement officer, not a politician. I have not sent annoying one sided text messages or mailers. I have not called and left messages you just erase. I have not made any deals, and I do not owe favors to anyone.
However, I have come to your homes and your communities. I have personally delivered your signs to you. I have held conversations with many of you around the entire parish. I have heard your concerns about the Sheriff’s Office.
If you elect me as your next sheriff, I will continue to listen to your concerns. I will make sure deputies are seen patrolling in the rural communities. I will work with the chiefs of police in Caddo Parish and figure out how we can deter criminals. I will continue doing what I have been doing for the past 28+ years, serving and protecting the citizens of Caddo Parish!
Thank you for your time and consideration. Please vote #68 on October 14. #gibsonforsheriff
Blanchard Night Out!
Beautiful day for a festival in Ida!
Thank you to the Stoner Hill Neighborhood Association for sponsoring this morning’s Meet & Greet and Walk Through Parade for the candidates! I met some great people today! #gibsonforsheriff
It was an honor to be invited to help BTW students finish the March that began on September 22, 1963.
I was so glad to get invited to speak to the Women’t Republican Club today at lunch.
We just need to keep sharing the message that I am a career law enforcement officer that is currently leading a law enforcement agency and I’m trusted enough by other law enforcement leaders to have been elected President of the Louisiana Association of Chief’s of Police North District since 2017.
A busy Saturday in Caddo Parish! I started out at the North Shreveport Business Association’s Heroes Career Fair. Then, I stopped by the 19th Annual Highland Jazz & Blues Festival in Columbia Park. I ended my night in Greenwood at the Pioneer Heritage Festival. Even though the weather wasn’t bad, we passed out a lot of handheld fans to help everyone stay cool! #gibsonforsheriff
I’m thankful to all of the Mayors and Town Clerks that I got to meet with and listen to yesterday evening at their district meeting. We listened to officials from each Caddo Parish municipality and some parish officials tell how things are progressing in the community. Most of these communities have some exciting things happening. We can’t forget about the smaller communities that make up Caddo Parish.
Thank you to the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce for hosting a candidate forum!
I enjoyed the forum with Country Club Hills Neighborhood Association at Fresh Start Ministries. Thanks for hosting us!
On Monday, August 28, the Shreveport Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the League of Women Voters of Caddo-Bossier hosted a great Meet the Candidates Evening. Citizens got to meet several candidates that will be on the ballot on October 14. I want to thank the hosting organizations for inviting me, and thank you to all the citizens who took time out of their evening to come meet me! #gibsonforsheriff
I had a wonderful time at the Village of Ida’s Fish Fry and Bingo night! Thank you to Chief David Austin for the invite. I enjoyed meeting Mayor Kenny Shaw, Tom Tebbe, and many others! It was a great Saturday evening filled with delicious food and amazing hospitality! #gibsonforsheriff
It was a HOT night at Food Truck Night in Greenwood last night. We enjoyed meeting many of y’all and giving out some campaign signs and our freshly delivered information cards!
